Artist International Gallery is a corporation of professional artists whose goals are to exhibit and sell quality art as well promote educational and cultural experiences for the world community.
Membership Requirements
Fees are charged to cover expenses and upkeep. Any change in fees will be decided by the Board of Directors.
Our current fees are $50/month for one page, plus an additional $10/month for each additional page
All prospective members will provide 10 digital samples of their original work for consideration by the Art Directors. They will also pay a $25 consideration fee. They will also provide a head shot and a short biography of their art resume. If they are chosen as members the $25 will be applied to the cost of their first page of work that AIG will represent. If they are not chosen, they will be notified as to the reason, with suggestions for consideration later. AIG will also keep the consideration fee.
New members will pay their first month dues upon joining.
Members not current with their dues from the preceding month will be unable to display their work until they are paid up.
Dues may be paid with a credit card, but preferably with a Paypal account.
All member art must be original and must be for sale.
We encourage our artists to rotate their pieces instead of showing the same piece month after month. This is to their advantage, as it shows our clientele that they are indeed producing new work on a consistent basis.
Unframed pieces must have a wrap-around canvas or look finished with painted or clean edges with no staples visible.
Only original artwork will be shown. Matted prints will need permission from the Board of Directors.
When a sale is made, the artist will be notified. We prefer to work with Paypal so money can be sent directly to the artist. The artist is then responsible for the safe shipping of the art. This must be done with 2 weeks of the sale.
Artists work much be inspected before shipping. Work must be dust and fingerprint free, have no damage to frame, show no gaps between art and frame, have clean glass and well secured hangers and wires. Make sure to include a business card so the buyer can quickly get in touch should there be a problem, or better yet so they can contact the artist directly about buying more work.
If dues are not up to date, or paid, we will not exhibit the artist’s work.
Please label work on the back or bottom of the piece. List the artist, medium, title and price. This gives provenance to the art and is important to collectors.
When submitting files for display on the website, make sure to use the highest resolution possible and the best lighting. Great photos sell great art faster.
We are a family friendly site, so no disturbing art will be accepted. This does not include nudes or pieces making a statement. Those will be reviewed on a piece by piece case.
We reserve the right to dismiss any member that we feel is not representing our brand in an ethical and professional manner.
Within the first year of representation, by our gallery, we require that our members visit our founder, Tammy D Hedge, at her home gallery. This is to give our artists more insight into how to promote their work and suggestions on salesmanship and service to their home communities. We are working on procuring a live location, where the artists can come together for a show of their works and networking opportunities.
Welcome to my project! Monster Mashup is a collaborative project between local elementary aged children and artists.
The goal is to get children invested and interested in many diverse art mediums and to provide an insight into different perspectives and processes.
I have a lovely volunteer group of kindergartners that have agreed to design their own Monsters and draw us pictures of their creations. Those pictures will be handed off to an extremely talented group of local artists who will re-interpret them into “grown-up” pieces of art. I have a great group of volunteer artists that have been chomping at the bit to feast their eyes on our mini artists work. I am looking forward to working with all involved and really excited to share with you all the ins and outs of our creative processes and allowing you to actually watch as these works develop over the next few months. When all the works are done, we will be having a huge Reveal Night, which will be open to the public, where you can meet the artists, see the finished products, and maybe even meet the wonderful children that helped us out with their fabulous imaginations.
Monster Mashup 2017
Please stay tuned to the website to watch the fun, keep up with announcements, and eventually join us for the big night. I’m hoping to even have a booklet for purchase that will be a great memento to keep outlining the whole project from beginning to end. Bookmark my site so you don’t miss out on anything! www.hedgerowart.com
Here is where you can find out all kinds of cool information on your Monsters. I will be updating this site with photos of the artists that are working on your creature and maybe even videos of the Monster Art being made. I want to personally thank you and thank your parents and teacher for being involved in our project. We are honored to babysit your Monsters and help them to grow up into new pieces of art.
The artists are so excited and are just waiting to see what kind of super ideas you’ve come up with. I hope you will check back with my site to learn all about how art is made.
The Monster Mashup Project 2019 onFebruary 24, 2019
In 2016, Virginia artist, Tammy D. Hedge, had an idea. She wanted to start a community driven project that would encompass local artists and local school children. The Monster Mashup Project would utilize children from a local Elementary School and their endless creativity to design and draw monsters. Those monsters would then be distributed to local artists, who would recreate them into “adult” pieces of art. Along the way the children would learn about individual creative process and how others see the world. She hoped to encourage the children to see that different doesn’t mean wrong, it just means a different point of view.
On February 24, 2019, the 4th edition of The Monster Mashup Project will be presented to the public. The show will be held at Art First Gallery in Fredericksburg, VA. You may view the show from 11 am to 5pm. At 3pm there will be a reception for all the children and artists that participated in this year’s project. The children’s original monsters will be shown, side by side, with the adult recreations.
This reception is also open to the public. It is a unique opportunity to meet all the artists, large and small that have been involved in this one of a kind show. Books about the project will be available to order at the event. Each book costs $25 + $2 shipping cost.
When: February 24, 2019 from 11am to 5pm with artists reception beginning at 3pm
Where: Art First Gallery, 824 Caroline Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401 540-371-7107 www.artfirstgllery.com

Show Love for the Monster Mashup
The Monster Mashup is for everyone.
We want your school to be featured!
The Monster Mashup is a imaginative project between your local elementary aged children and artists from around the world.
This is a collaborative art masterpiece that combines the artistic minds of kids and adults. Kids draw their unique monsters and our artists interpret them in their own design. This project brings all generations of art to unify as one. Our mission is expression. Allow each child to express their own creativity, no matter what their inspiration or interest.
How does it work?
We have a number of kindergartners and grade school children agree to design their own Monsters and draw us pictures of their creations from imagination. Those pictures are handed off to an extremely talented group of artists who interpret them into their Monsters. The artists re-imagine the drawings into “grown up” pieces of art in their respective mediums.
We are now venturing out with this project worldwide. The new online version will have the capability to reach classrooms, hospitals, and children that just need a monster friend to help them through the tough spells.
